The lake is quite literally stuffed full with carp & most guests catch more fish than they ever thought possible. Add this to a choice of two types of accommodation and the use of a swimming pool and you can see why Vinçons has been one of our most popular destinations since 2001.

Morgane Lakes – fishing in France

Angling TV March 19, 2014

Every angler knows that nothing can be guaranteed with fishing. Conditions can be wrong and carp are fickle creatures – unfortunately sometimes they just don’t feed. BUT… if there’s one venue on our books where we had to stake our reputation on good catches it would be Morganes. It sometimes appears that there’s more fish than water! Morganes is owned by one of Frances most respected fish farmers, Michel Bigot, so the lake is managed exceptionally well. The stock is constantly monitored and a recent netting of the carp lake showed a superb stock of fish running from 15 to 55lb, with great numbers of big fat commons. Carp fishing in France at Old Oaks

Angling TV March 19, 2014

Following on from his success with the big fish venue Laroussi, Mehdi Daho opened a new venue just across the road in March 2006 – he called it called Old Oaks. We’ve worked with Mehdi for 5 years now and he is without doubt one of the most dedicated owners we have ever met. His knowledge of carp fishing, his attention to detail in every aspect of customer care and his sheer love of what he does means that any fishery he’s involved with has to be a success and Old Oaks is definitely a success.
