Lac du val – carp fishing in France
Lac du Val is around 4½ acres & set in northern Normandy, less than an hour’s drive from the ferry port of Caen. The privacy of the site allows peaceful and tranquil carp fishing in lush rural surroundings for a maximum of five anglers – it is possible to book the lake exclusively. The venue is owned by an English couple, David and Sammy Harding. They live on-site in their converted farm house and they have taken great care in landscaping and stocking the water with a superb stock of magnificent looking carp.
Oakview Lake – carp fishing in France
An outstanding venue for the family angler and tucked away in the country lanes of the beautiful Mayenne countryside, Oakview is 2½ hours from the Caen ferry. The lake has been worked on with anglers in mind and a combination of a central island and swims on the curving banks means that up to 4 anglers can all enjoy fishing both the margins and the island. Its luxury lakeside lodge is of a high standard meaning that it will be appealing to non-anglers too – this is an ideal venue for a family holiday.

Morgane Lakes – fishing in France
Every angler knows that nothing can be guaranteed with fishing. Conditions can be wrong and carp are fickle creatures – unfortunately sometimes they just don’t feed. BUT… if there’s one venue on our books where we had to stake our reputation on good catches it would be Morganes. It sometimes appears that there’s more fish than water! Morganes is owned by one of Frances most respected fish farmers, Michel Bigot, so the lake is managed exceptionally well. The stock is constantly monitored and a recent netting of the carp lake showed a superb stock of fish running from 15 to 55lb, with great numbers of big fat commons. The cats range from 40 to 120lb and will provide plenty of exciting and tense moments… and monumental fight
Ghost Carp Lake – carp fishing in France
Secluded carp fishing in a beautiful rural setting, Ghost Carp Lake offers secluded fishing holidays in the beautiful rural setting of the Loire Valley. There are 2 lakes of 3½ acres and 1 acre, both well stocked with ghost, grass, mirror and common carp up to high 40’s. The owners, John and Sheila Williams, live close by and are always happy to give help and advice. A few minutes’ drive away in the local village you will find two bars, a tabac and a well-stocked mini-supermarket – it has a good range of fresh fruit, vegetables and dairy products, meats and fish, household products, and, of course, beer and wine! Alternatively, there are a couple of good restaurants in the village and a wider range of restaurants in the nearby historic market town of Vitré.
Molyneux – carp fishing holidays in France
Molyneux lies in the beautiful Normandy countryside and is very easy to reach being just 2¾ hours from Calais and 1¼ hours from Le Havre… and apart from the last ten minutes it’s all motorway! The lake is nestled in stunning countryside far from noise and light pollution, the loudest noise being the birdsong that provides a peaceful backdrop to the fantastic carp fishing on offer.
